Senior Vice President of Northern Light Health and President of Northern Light Home Care & Hospice


Colleen-Hilton-(1).jpgColleen Hilton, RN, BSN is a senior vice president of Northern Light Health and the president of Northern Light Home Care & Hospice.

Colleen is a registered nurse and is responsible for setting the vision, mission, and strategic direction of the organization.

Colleen is a passionate advocate for home health and hospice. She is president of the Home Care Alliance of Maine Board of Directors. She is a member of the Organization of Maine Nurse Executives and has several professional advisory roles in healthcare. She has also served as the chair of the Cumberland District Public Health Council, advocating for public health throughout southern Maine.

Colleen served as mayor of Westbrook 2009-2016 and currently serves on the State Workforce Board of Maine, the Cumberland County Jail Board of Visitors, as well as the Intercultural Community Center Board, an organization dedicated to ensuring our immigrant children find success in their new communities. In 2016, Colleen was recognized by the Home Care & Hospice Alliance of Maine with a Distinguished Service award for recognition of her “outstanding leadership and service.” In 2021 she was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Maine Health and Higher Educational Facilities Authority of Maine.

Prior to joining Northern Light Health, Colleen has held a number of progressively responsible position in healthcare administration.  She takes pride in her many years of service as a visiting field clinician. She became the president of NLHCH in 2003.

Bachelor’s Degree, Nursing, University of Southern Maine
Certificate in Graduate Studies in Health Policy and Management, Muskie School of Public Service. 

Colleen became the president of Northern Light Home Care and Hospice in 2003.
