Marwaha-(1).pngDr. Marwaha, MD, FHM, is the Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer of Northern Light Health. In her role, Dr. Marwaha oversees quality and patient safety for the system, providing vision and strategic direction for quality initiatives for all Northern Light member organizations. She is passionate about process and systems improvement with the goal of supporting clinical teams to help deliver the highest quality of care. Dr. Marwaha also recognizes the importance of a positive healthcare experience for Northern Light patients. She enthusiastically contributes to building a high reliability organization striving for clinical excellence with a goal of zero patient harm.
 
An experienced physician leader with a demonstrated excellence in quality and safety, Dr. Marwaha’s extensive post-doctoral training includes the American Medical Informatics Association’s 10 X 10 course in Clinical Informatics, Patient Safety Executive Development Program from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and the Clinical Process Improvement Leadership Program at the Edward P. Lawrence Center for Quality and Safety at Massachusetts General Hospital.
 
Dr. Marwaha earned her bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts and her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her medical training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts and has received the designation of Fellow in Hospital Medicine by the Society of Hospital Medicine. She is an active member of the Maine Medical Association, the American Association of Physician Leadership, the Massachusetts Medical Society, and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
 
Prior to joining Northern Light in 2020, Dr. Marwaha held several leadership roles including Medical Director of Adult, Intensive Care, and Pediatrics Hospital Medicine programs, Medical Director of Quality and Patient Safety, Chief of Medicine, and Vice President of the medical staff at Cooley Dickinson Health Care.
