Volunteering at Northern Light AR Gould Hospital

Volunteers are an important part of the Northern Light AR Gould Hospital family. They help our organization to provide quality care and service, while providing an important link to the community.

We accept volunteers 14 years of age and older to fill positions in a variety of settings, including the Customer Service Desk, Women & Children's Unit, Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Unit, Educational & Innovation, Medical Library, Women's Health Center, and in clinic settings such as Oncology and Physical Therapy.

We also have a number of volunteers who provide activities and support on a regular basis to patients in our long term care facility, and others who donate their time and energy to work on special projects, mailings, and health fairs.

Our volunteers collectively donate an average of 300 hours per month, both on a regular basis and by working on special projects. This saves Northern Light AR Gould Hospital thousands of dollars per year and allows a full range of services to be offered. Our volunteers are an integral part of the our Northern Light family.

Our Volunteer Services Coordinator can help match your interests and talents with the volunteer opportunities that are currently available. Contact our Volunteer Services Coordinator for more information at 207-768-4248 or fill out the application here.
