Trends and Issues in Perinatal Practices

This seventeenth biennial conference, is designed for nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers who care for obstetrical and neonatal patients. The goals for this program are to study and discuss current issues, controversies, and advances in practice, in order to improve patient outcomes. This conference sponsored and planned by Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Women’s and Children’s Services and Clinical Education Department.

Facility and Accommodations
The facility is fully accessible. If accommodations for hearing are required, please note when registering. Hotel rooms are available at a discounted rate if booked by October 1, just mention the conference when making your reservation.

Accreditation
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, Education Department, is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Northeast Multistate Division (NE-MSD),an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of (6.75) AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for day one and (7.5) for day two. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Eastern Maine Medical Center is accredited by the Maine Medical Association’s Committee on Continuing Medical Education to provide Continuing Medical Education (CME) for practicing physicians.

Tuition
The tuition fee for this two day conference is $150 which includes breakfast, lunch snacks, and a certificate of attendance with accreditation statements included. Tuition fee for one day is $75. Northern Light Health employees are only required to pay $20 a day for meals. Conference tuition is waived.

Cancellations
You will receive a full refund, less a $15 processing fee, if the Clinical Education Department receives cancellation in writing ten days before the conference dates. If you are unable to attend, substitutions from the same organization are welcome. Please notify us of this change in writing, prior to the conference dates. Cancellations received after the ten day limit, and conference registrants who fail to attend, or attend only a portion of the program, are liable for the full fee. Special circumstances will be reviewed on an individual basis by the program coordinator. We reserve the right to cancel this program at any time, and will notify participants by telephone or mail if adequate information is provided on the registration form. In the event the program is cancelled, tuition will be refunded in full.

Conference Materials
An outline of all lectures will be provided in a condensed handout at registration both days. PowerPoints will be posted on our website as we receive them from the presenters. Directions on how to access the handouts will be sent to you in your confirmation letter.
