Northern Light Blue Hill Hospital named as one the Best Hospitals in America

Date: 07/21/2022

This month Money Magazine included Northern Light Blue Hill Hospital in its inaugural “Best Hospitals in America” list.  Out of over 6,000 hospitals across the country, only 148 hospitals made the list.  The magazine partnered with The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to “trigger giant leaps forward in the safety, quality and affordability of U.S. health care by using transparency to support informed health care decisions and promote high-value care.”

The critical-access hospital consistently earns a “Top Rural Hospital” designation from The Leapfrog Group and is excited about the new acknowledgment in Money Magazine’s first-ever “Best Hospitals in America Right Now” list.   The magazine states that the list, “is designed to spotlight the facilities that consistently deliver the safest, highest-value care for patients and give you peace of mind when it comes to the things that will make your hospital experience the best it can possibly be.”

“We are steadfast in our commitment to patient safety and high-quality care,” shares John Ronan, FACHE, president Northern Light Blue Hill and Maine Coast Hospitals.  “We understand how important good outcomes and excellent patient experience are and the compassionate providers and staff in Blue Hill are dedicated to doing their best to care for patients and their loved ones every day.”

Blue Hill Hospital is currently undergoing a $27 million modernization project.  For more information and to stay up to date on Blue Hill Hospital’s project, please visit NorthernLight.org/BlueHillPromise.
