Philippe (Phil) Morissette

Senior Vice President of Finance for Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center

Philippe (Phil) Morissette is senior vice president of finance for Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Phil is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of Eastern Maine Medical Center. This includes monitoring compliance with Northern Light Health’s accounting policy, as well as working with leadership and other departments to implement best practices throughout the hospital.

Phil is a very family-oriented person and is passionate about supporting individuals through challenging and difficult times. He is always reaching for and achieving new experiences to grow and learn so that he can help others.

He is extremely active in supporting professional and community organizations. He is a member of the MHA Healthcare Finance Council, and the Maine Chapter of HFMA. He donates his time to support the Catholic Foundation of Maine, serving on their board and on their finance council; he also is involved with his local church as the finance council chairperson. He serves as chairperson of the finance committee, and as treasurer and board member for SandCastles, which provides clinical and educational services across Central Maine.  Finally, Phil serves as Notary Public for the State of Maine.

Phil brings with him more than 30 years of progressive and senior executive financial leadership with experience in corporate finance, business planning, earnings improvement, operating cost improvement, quality control and productivity. In addition to being recognized for his ability to drive financial improvements and his effective leadership approach, he is also very familiar with the healthcare landscape in Maine. For nearly 14 years, Phil served in progressive leadership positions for Central Maine Healthcare Corporation based in Lewiston. 

Phil’s guiding principle is to lead by example while demonstrating utmost respect and integrity.

In addition to his finance career, Phil is also a retired First Sergeant of the United States Army - USAR and decorated veteran of the Persian Gulf War.

Education:
Bachelor of Arts in Business and Accounting with Highest Distinction Honors, University of Maine Governmental and high-level senior military education and training
