Parks-a-good-pic-edited-(1).jpgThe person who nominated Kalena wrote, “Kalena is ALWAYS willing to help patients, despite how busy or heavy her assignment is, and it doesn't matter if the patient is her’s or not. She always runs to bed alarms, is extremely aware of what's going on with patients, and is not afraid to call the nurse when she feels that the patient's condition has changed. She is incredibly observant and reliable, never in a bad mood, always positive and willing to help with any patient, and will frequently ask other staff if they need help with patients she is not assigned to.

Kalena is always providing compassionate care, looks forward to learning, and does all this with a smile on her face.”

Rankin-edited.jpgKaylah’s nominee wrote, “Kaylah started in housekeeping and worked there seven months, using the time to familiarize herself with how the hospital works. She goes out of her way to do things for patients and other hospital staff and always brings a can-do attitude to work. Not only does she assist nurses in whatever they may need, she is also extremely attentive to her patients and assists other CNAs when needed. Despite busy schedules, Kaylah rarely leaves patients waiting. When specific requests are made, she prioritizes them. She goes out of her way to bring whatever she can to patients to make them as comfortable and content as possible. When a patient is discharged, if she has the time, she'll even strip the room for housekeeping before they get there.”

Hats off to you, Kalena and Kaylah! Thank you for the sunshine you both bring to our patients’ and colleagues’ lives through your kindness, empathy, and dedication.
