I became a nurse because I love taking care of people across the lifespan. Before nursing school I was a kindergarten teacher so I enjoy people of all ages! I became a nurse leader because I discovered I enjoy taking care of nurses and staff just as much. Having a son with a chronic health condition who has spent many days and weeks in the hospital, keeps me grounded and focused on the most important parts of my work – caring for people!
