Walk Event Raises $15,000 for Patient Relief Fund
Thank you to our community sponsors, 50 walkers, our staff, and volunteers who made our Walk in My Shoes fundraiser a big success last Saturday! Thanks to your support, we have initially raised more than $15,000 that will go to Inland Hospital’s patient relief fund. This fund helps those who need assistance with their needs for daily living, such as medical equipment, warm clothing, personal hygiene items, and more. We are proud to play a role in helping reduce barriers for patients to achieve good health and access healthcare.
Special thanks to our host, Colby College, our awesome event planning team, Lori Roming-Inland trustee, our lead sponsor - Bangor Savings Bank and our many other sponsors: Central Maine Motors, Dr. Loraine Paradis and Carey Paradis, LCSW, Northwoods Investment Group, the Sukeforth Family Foundation, Golden Pond Wealth Management, and others.
Thanks to Inland’s walk committee: Christine Black, Michael Cleary, Bridgette Gemelli, Kelly Marble, Karin Warren, and Donna-Jo Mitchell. Volunteers helping on event day; Lori Roming, Lisa Nelson, Nikki Libby, Tim Lerone, Melissa Dangler, Jim Nelson, Mary Morrison, and others who offered that day.
We appreciate everyone’s support of this important effort!
