Northern Light Mercy Hospital welcomes new physician assistant to South Portland

Northern Light Mercy Hospital is pleased to welcome Beverly Wood, PA-C to Northern Light Mercy Primary Care in South Portland.
 
Beverly Wood is an accomplished physician assistant with over 30 years of experience in family practice. She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including primary care, urgent care, and hospital-based clinics.
 
Beverly loves family practice and has found the most joy over the years in caring for multiple generations of the same family. She believes patients are the best resource when determining what they are experiencing and that providers need to truly listen in order to offer the best treatments and solutions. 
 
In her free time, she enjoys travel, reading, and watching her kids play sports.
 
Beverly holds certifications and licenses from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, the Maine Board of Medicine, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and a Physician Assistant Certificate from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.
