Nicholas Eddy, PMHNP-BC joins Northern Light Acadia Hospital’s pediatric inpatient team

With the opening of Northern Light Acadia Hospital’s new pediatric inpatient building, additionalNicholas Eddy, PMHNP-BC providers have joined the organization to provide care to kids in need of inpatient level services. The hospital is pleased to welcome Nicholas Eddy, PMHNP-BC to the team.

Nick is a two-time graduate of Husson University, earning his bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2020 and completing his master’s as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) last fall. He has prior care experience as a charge nurse at the Maine Veteran’s Home in Bangor and as a pediatric psych nurse at Acadia while he finished his master’s program.

“I approach patient care from a holistic standpoint,” says Nicholas, “recognizing the influence that a patient’s physical health, family stability, and interpersonal relationships can have on their mental health.”

A self-described thrill-seeker, Nicholas loves to go skydiving, whitewater canoeing and rafting, and enjoys rock climbing. Regarding his work with Acadia’s pediatric population, Nick says, “I love working with the kids to be able to shape their futures in a positive way and help them succeed and thrive in achieving their life goals.”
