CA Dean Bike and Boat continues to grow to support local healthcare

In its second year back from a two-year hiatus caused by the pandemic, participation in Northern Light CA Dean Hospital Bike and Boat rose to nearly 100 participants, outpacing participation levels from previous years.

“We’re grateful to everyone who came out to spend a day with us on the bike route and on the boat catching up with friends and supporting local healthcare,” says Marie Vienneau, FACHE, president, CA Dean Hospital. “It was great to connect with the cyclists for whom Bike and Boat is an annual tradition, as well as those who joined us for the first time.”

One of CA Dean’s two signature summer events, Bike and Boat began with a 19.5-mile bike ride from Greenville to Rockwood and concluded with a cruise back to Greenville on the historic Steamboat Katahdin. Participants enjoyed lunch and live music provided by the Joshua Guthrie Band on the boat ride.

Proceeds help CA Dean Hospital continue to provide high quality care to the community. While final totals are still being calculated, event organizers anticipate the 2023 event will be the most successful Bike and Boat yet for fundraising.

Preparations are already underway for next year’s Bike and Boat event which will take place on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Registration will open for next year’s event in early 2024.
